In the unlikely event that we cancel a trip

You will receive a full refund.

Cancellations due to weather

Our trips run rain or shine unless dangerous conditions exist. If you decide not to take your scheduled trip with us due to the weather forecast or because it is raining where you are, the refund policies below will apply. If you are at our location, on time for your trip, and it is raining heavily, we will happily refund your trip if you do not want to go. You must be at our location during your trip. Our weather is often completely different from even just 10 miles away.

Last-minute changes, cancellations, and late arrivals

The policies below are effective for bookings made after April 24, 2025.
We do not issue refunds for last-minute cancellations, changes, or late arrivals.  It will simply be too late for us to fill the spaces that we have set aside for you.
No refunds for no-shows, changes, or cancellations within 48 hours of the trip start time.
This applies to, but is not limited to, unforeseen circumstances such as unexpected illness, road construction, getting lost, or any number of other events.
We cannot accommodate late arrivals, as this is unfair to our guests who are on time for their tour. If you arrive late, you may miss your trip even if that group has not departed yet.  This is because, even though you are there, your check-in and getting ready will delay the rest of the group.
Late arrivals who miss their trips will be considered no-shows and will not receive a refund for any reason.
Late arrivals will also not be rescheduled to another trip without booking and paying for another tour.
We pride ourselves on our professionalism and excellent customer service, and we offer amazing tours on the Matanuska Glacier. All we ask is that you show up on time for your tour.
We strongly recommend travel insurance or our Trip Protection to cover you in the event of an unexpected delay.
Put the risk on us with Trip Protection.
With this protection, you can cancel at any time for any reason and receive a full refund of your tour cost, no questions asked.
Cost is based on a percentage of your tour cost. When you select this option, you’ll see the cost in your booking. Your Trip Protection is non-refundable if you cancel your tour.

Partial Cancellation, Changes in the number of people in your group

Our reservation system charges a small percentage on every booking that is added to your total.  Should you change the number of people on your reservation, you may be eligible for a partial refund of the tour cost.  However, the booking fee is not refunded on partial cancellations.

Cancellation and Refund details for specific trips

The following applies to tours that are not Private, Helicopter or Group.

We’re more than happy to give you a full refund for cancellations with 48 hours or more notice. There is no refund for cancellations with less than 48 hours notice or no-shows.

Private Tours require a 7-day notice for a full refund. No refund will be applied for cancellations within 7 days of reservation date.

We’re more than happy to give you a full refund (less deposit, if applicable) for cancellations with 7 days or more notice. There are no refunds for cancellations within 7 days of reservation date.

Helicopter operations are weather dependent.  Exact schedules and routes may be adjusted at any time for safety reasons.  It is possible that your return to our Base from helicopter adventures or our remote camp could be delayed. We are not responsible for any additional costs which you may incur due to these changes.

We’re more than happy to give you a full refund, minus $200 of your deposit, for cancellations with 7 days or more notice. There are no refunds for cancellations within 7 days of reservation date.

The $200 withheld from your deposit is not transferable.

If you book a Glacier Overnight for your family with children under 14 years we will make the camp exclusively for your group.  With this is mind, we cannot offer refunds with less than 21 days notice for any reason.  Please understand that we have blocked out the entire camp for your group and it would be very difficult to fill that night.
