Large Group Adventures

Thank you for your interest in a group adventure with MICA Guides!  We have a lot of experience working with organized groups of all ages and look forward to working together to provide an exciting trip for your group.

Please read all of the following information before planning your outing.

Group Trip Planning:

Our website is your best source for full descriptions of our activities.  Please refer to this site as a starting point for determining which adventures are appropriate for your group.

Group Rates:

We offer the following rates for organizations with groups of 12 or more.  These rates only apply to non-profits or youth groups such as scouts or schools.  Please note that rates apply to all participants and all Leaders or Chaperones.

Estimated times begin at check in for your activity until your group is ready to get back on the road after the adventure.

  •    Ice Fall Trek: Approximately 3.5 hours.  $105/person.
  •    Ice Climbing: Approximately 7.5 hours, 1-3 days possible.  $225/person/day.

Glacier Access Fee:

Access to the glacier is possible only through private land operated by a separate company.  This charge is not included in the costs for your trip with MICA Guides. For more details and estimated rates please see Glacier Access.

How to Book:

All bookings must be confirmed with the maximum expected number of participants so that we can allocate enough guides. Participant count will be finalized 30 days prior to the trip. We encourage you to make your reservation with us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.  Our summer schedule is very busy and books quickly, and we cannot hold space for your group without a deposit.

Payment Details:

A non-refundable deposit of $400 is required prior to booking.  Once details are finalized we’ll send you an invoice for this payment.  This deposit must be paid immediately to hold your booking. Payment for the deposit can be made via credit card.

Once you finalize your participant numbers we will invoice you for the final payment.  Payment will be due no later than 30 days prior to your activity.  This is payable by ACH only (credit card not accepted).  Groups missing this deadline must pay by credit card with an additional 3% processing fee.

Cancellation or changes in numbers:

Cancellations or drops in numbers will be subject within 30 days of the activity will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.  Cancellations or drops less than 7 days before the trip do not qualify for a refund for any reason.

Waivers:

All glacier participants must sign two waivers, one for MICA Guides and one for Glacier Park (glacier access).  These waivers may be downloaded at:  Your Safety .  Each waiver is flagged with the fields that must be completed.  It is essential that the waivers are completed correctly by the parents of minors. Trip leaders, chaperones, and relatives other than parents or legal guardians may NOT sign for minor participants.  

  • These waivers must be completed by a parent or guardian, and cannot be completed by a trip leader or director for any reason. 
  • Waivers must be sent to MICA as an electronic PDF no less than one week before the start of the trip. 
  • All waivers must be sent by a single contact all together in one email. Waivers can be scanned or electronically signed. We do not accept pictures taken of waivers or improperly completed waivers. We cannot accept waivers directly from parents of minors in your groups.
  • Even if students are over 18, their waivers should be included with all others. 
  • Adult trip leaders can sign the waiver when they arrive at MICA for the tour. Additionally, leaders must bring printed copies of the Glacier Park waiver (the second of the combined waivers in the attached combined waiver document) the day of the trip.

We have found that it is very helpful for you to scan and email the completed waivers to us at least one month prior to your trip.  Then, bring the signed paper copies on the day of the trip.  This process is essential, as it will help us to correct any errors prior to your arrival, and thus avoid denying participation of a minor on the day of the trip.

We must have all signed waivers for minors 2 weeks prior to the activity or your reservation will be cancelled.
