Our luxury common area has everything you need to enjoy your night out camping with board games, refreshments, fire pit with wood provided and covered hang out area with tables.
Enjoy privacy and tranquility in our handmade cedar hot tub.
Complimentary fresh Alaskan coffee and a hot breakfast provide the delicious energy needed for a day of Alaskan adventure.
Our off grid homestead is sustainably run and built providing you with all your necessary amenities while leaving our natural surroundings healthy for you to enjoy the Alaskan outdoors.

Each of our Glacier View Tents come with a queen and twin bed. Located on a small hill with extravagant views of the valley and Matanuska Glacier. A small walk uphill from parking lot to tents. Each of our Mountain View Tents come with a queen bed. Nestled into our beautiful forest with views of the mountain tops. A small walk on a trail to tents from parking lot. Short walk over to the common area, fire pit, hot tub, showers, and flushing toilets. Complimentary Breakfast.

From your tent it’s a short walk to the common area with a lawn where you can sit back and enjoy the Alaskan sun and views along with a fire in the fire pit every evening with complimentary S’mores!Nearby is our hand made cedar hot tub, open to our guests in the evening until 10pm with a sign up sheet. Showers are located next to the hot tub where we encourage guests to take a quick shower before getting into the hot tub.Bathrooms with flushing toilets located at the parking area just a short walk from the tents.There isn’t electricity in the Glamping Tents, but you can charge electronics at our common area.Start your next day with a complimentary breakfast including pancakes, scrambled eggs, AK reindeer sausage, fruit, homemade granola, yogurt, big selection of teas and locally roasted french press coffee.
Alpenglow Luxury Camping is perfect for a party of two, with tents that accommodate a pair comfortably. Upon request we can accommodate up to three people in a Glacier Tent with an additional charge for the third person. Please select number of people when checking out to make sure we have the third person in your reservation.
Family of 4 with children under 13? We have options for one of our glacier tents to be outfitted with a cot and sleeping bag for the additional child with a fee. Email us for this add on.
Age limit is 8 and older. Children under 12 years old are not allowed to sleep in tents by themselves.
We try to provide a tranquil wilderness experience and don’t want small children to interfere with that experience for other guests. Our property is not suited for small children and in no cases can we accommodate children under the age of 8.
No Pets
No guest cooking. We are not a campground and do not have areas for guests to cook food, for health codes we can not have guests use our kitchen and being off grid we do not have a microwave. Local restaurants are where most of our guests find many options for meals. Food that does not need to be prepared are OK at designated areas.
We cannot check in anyone after 10pm. If you are arriving after 8pm please call or TXT Mandy at 330-314-3633 to give us a heads up on arrival time.
Alpenglow is completely off-grid with solar power. Our sustainable practices from power to biodegradable soaps to native plants makes sure the experience you have will be had by many more to come.

- Where do I check in?
To check in: follow directions to the MICA Guides location, once on the property look out for Alpenglow signs that will show you the way! Once you are in the Alpenglow parking lot proceed to the green radio calling system and someone will be there shortly to greet you.Check in is from 3 pm to 10pm. Sorry but we will not check in guests that arrive later than 10pm. Check out is at 10 am.
- What is your cancellation policy at Alpenglow Luxury Camping?
The full balance of your reservation is due at the time of booking. Should you shorten the length of your reservation within 14 days of arrival or choose an early departure during your stay, you will be responsible for the entire time reserved.
- Do you allow children at Alpenglow Luxury Camping?
Children 8 years and older are permitted. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult in the tents. In no cases can we accommodate children under 8 years.
- Can I cook food for myself at Alpenglow Luxury Camping?
No. We are not a campground and do not have areas for guests to cook food. For health codes we cannot allow guests to cook meals in the kitchen or use the grill. Lunches, snacks and food that does not require being heated up are OK in designated areas. There is a list of recommended restaurants in the area that can be found on the MICA Guides website. Food is NOT allowed in tents and must be stored in cars when not being used.
- What do we need to bring for our stay at Alpenglow Luxury Camping?
Warm jacket, rain jacket, swimsuit and personal toiletries. We have soap for hand washing and showers. All of your linens and towels are provided. Since we use a solar energy system, please do not plan to use hair dryers.
- What temperatures are we to expect at Alpenglow Luxury Camping?
The temperature at Alpenglow Luxury Camping is between 40 and 70°F. The early and late seasons can bring colder temperatures at night, but warm up during the day.
- Are your canvas tents heated?
No. The tents are not equipped with heaters, but we do provide warm blankets and a 750 fill down comforter to make sure you stay warm at night.
- Are there showers?
Yes! We have enclosed outdoor hot showers next to the hot tub with wash cloths, soap, and towels. We ask guests to wash before entering the tub.
- Is there wildlife in the area?
Yes, we are in Alaska and part of the allure is the wilderness setting, but with strict guidelines and respect for the animals we don’t have an issue sharing the space. We are very strict with trash and food on our property to maintain a healthy relationship with our local wildlife. Bear sightings are VERY rare but we do have a lot of moose on the property and they tend to use our trails. We ask guests to keep their distance from moose and eyes open while walking around.
