Home Cooking on the Homestead
Dinner is served at our outdoor covered dinning area with a view of the Matanuska Glacier and nearby peaks. Relax with a beer by the fire then enjoy one of our genuine Alaskan meals. One of our menu options will be served on select evenings. (Sorry, no substitutions.)
Dinner includes appetizer, one adult beverage, main course and dessert. See the menu tabs for complete details.
- Appetizers are served at 7pm with dinner following at 7:30 PM
- Dinners must be booked at least 10 days in advance.
Important Note: Our camp does not offer any facilities or a location for self-catering. Our kitchen and dining room are not available for you to prepare your own meals. There are a couple of good dining options in Glacier View should you choose to go out for dinner.
Guests are welcome to bring their own beer and wine to enjoy at dinner or around the camp fire. Dinners for our guests are planned days in advance. As such we cannot accommodate cancellations within 48 hours.
Salmon Dinner
The quintessential Alaskan meal:
Appetizer
- Hummus with pita chips.
Main Course
- Grilled wild caught Alaskan salmon. Salmon is marinated and cooked in brown sugar, seasonings and topped off with nectarine slices and fresh herbs from the garden giving the salmon a perfect sweet and savory flavor.
- Garden salad picked from our garden when in season. Mixed lettuce and spinach with cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, and your choice of dressing.
- Lemon and herb rice. A zest of lemon mixed with fresh herbs from the garden makes this a fresh tasting side dish.
- Homemade bread baked in the dutch oven and made fresh for every dinner
- Your choice of one beer or glass of wine with dinner
Dessert
- Fresh baked Pie or Cobbler
BBQ Chicken Dinner
The Alaskan BBQ with a little North Carolina influence:
Appetizer
- Mandy’s famous salsa made from fresh simple ingredients and served with tortilla chips.
Main Course
- Bone-in chicken thigh marinated and cooked in BBQ sauce, vinegar, and seasonings. Then finished on the charcoal grill for a perfect smokey, sweet, and tangy flavor.
- Garden salad picked from our garden when in season. Mixed lettuce and spinach with cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, and your choice of dressing.
- Baked potato with your choice of butter, sour cream, and chives from the garden
- Homemade bread baked in the dutch oven and made fresh for every dinner
- Your choice of one beer or glass of wine with dinner
Dessert
- Fresh baked Pie or Cobbler
Alaskan Fish Tacos
Alaskan ingredients with a South of the Border flare:
Appetizer
- Mandy’s famous salsa made from fresh simple ingredients and served with tortilla chips.
Main Course
- Blackened Alaskan Rock Fish on a bed of sweet and tangy cilantro lime coleslaw, all on a flour or corn tortilla drizzled with an avocado and lime dressing. Entree comes with three tacos
- Side of cilantro and lime rice
- Your choice of one beer or glass of wine with dinner
Dessert
- Fresh baked Pie or Cobbler
